On October 14, Michael appeared on The Crazy Uncle Joe Show at Groundlings. It’s an improv show and according to Colleen, one of our site’s visitors, it was quite a success…
He had a lot of fun with it. He did voices, came up with some clever skits and cracked us all up quite a bit. The crowd loved him. The show was absolutely packed; I’ve seen the Groundlings several times, but this is the fullest I’ve ever seen the theater. My favorite moment was when one of the Groundlings pointed to Michael and said, “Look! A Native American in the Gobi desert!” and Michael responded, in the most fey, ‘Kenneth Williams just ate David Frost’ kind of voice, “Hallo, what are YOU doing here?!” The crowd DIED laughing.
We’ve added eight more pictures from the Variety screening of The Damned United…

Another TV alert, this time for Michael’s Canadian fans: he will be on CTV’s morning show Canada AM today. The show airs from 6:00am until 9:00am EDT.
“If I’ve watched or read something that I really enjoy I’ll share it with people there. And also, if I have anything I need to find out about, I’ve got this resource of about 50,000 incredibly well-informed and interesting people to ask the question to.”

Michael Sheen wants to play John Lennon in a film about The Beatles. The actor – who has played a number of British icons on the big screen, including former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair – would love to depict the late music icon in a film about the legendary band but is convinced he would be cast as Sir Paul McCartney instead.

In this video of Michael taking over Current, he teaches us Welsh, shares his 60-second autobiography, answers your questions and introduces us to football/soccer legend Brian Clough.

Several people have reported to us that Michael is no longer involved in the Richard Ayoade movie Submarine.
The movie is still listed on his IMDb profile, but this interview with co-star Paddy Considine should confirm that it’s indeed true.
