Synopsis
One of the great tragedy themed plays by William Shakespeare. The famous story of the “star-crossed” young lovers Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. The themes running through the play address the issues of the consequences of immature blind passion, hatred and prejudice. Romeo and Juliet are young teenagers who fall deeply in love but their families are bitter enemies. Regardless of the feud between their families they marry in secret. They make every effort to conceal their actions but the story ends in tragedy.

The venue which gave Alex Jennings and Janet McTeer their first big breaks has done it again: Sheen is here to stay… If each adolescent generation gets its own Romeo and Juliet, then this must be the one for now. Virtually every detail makes revealing sense of the text, and, most of all, this young cast produce an emotional climate which is entirely convincing
