Twilight: Yay Or Nay?

PopWatch is asking your opinion on ‘Twilight’: Does the Michael Sheen ‘New Moon’ casting win you over (or back)? What do you think about the casting of Michael as Aro? Have your say right here or on the PopWatch blog…

For those of you who are not very familiar with the Twilight franchise, here’s a short description of the charactar Aro: “The sinister and power-hungry Aro possesses the power of extreme strength, speed and intensified senses. Aro is able to read the minds of people once he makes physical contact with them. Aro has very pale skin, long black hair, and seems to float when he walks, and most notably, his eyes are an unsettling milky red.”

Easter Treats

“Me and my daughter will fight each other over the Easter eggs this Easter. She’s ten, so it’s good because she’s quite small, so I can push her away from the chocolate quite easily and keep her at arm’s length while I eat it all.”

Michael admitted to ITN that he loves a sweet Easter treat. Click here to see the video.

In The Twilight Zone

The Daily Mail has announced that Michael will play a vampire in New Moon, the sequel to the blockbuster film Twilight. He will play Aro, the leader of an Italian vampire clan called the Volturi.

Director Chris Weitz confirmed Sheen’s casting to The Mail on Sunday and said he had ‘aggressively’ pursued the actor. “Michael’s role is so important because he’s the head of all vampires,” he said. “Aro is, on the surface, a very gracious and friendly vampire, but beneath that he is a tremendous threat.”
