“I got a call saying, ‘You’ve been offered this part in Tron and the director wants you to come in and the producer’s going to pitch to you and convince you why you should be in this’. The moment I heard Tron I was like ‘Yep! I’ll do it!’ I had to pretend I had to be convinced but there was no way I wasn’t going to do it - I was such a big fan of the first film when it came out.”

“When daughter Lily first saw the Alice trailer in a theatre with her friends, she told them, ‘That’s my daddy.’ And they were like, ‘How many films is he in? How much longer do we have to put up with this for?’”. If Sheen has anything to say about it, quite a while longer.

Going from Alice in Wonderland to Tron Legacy reminded Sheen of a different sort of wonderland, a digital one. “Similar in a way, isn’t it? Certainly in the first Tron film, Jeff’s [Bridges] character gets kind of sucked into this Wonderland-type place. So there’s a similarity to it. We go back to the world of Tron 28 years later, and technology has moved on. All the same things that we saw in the first Tron film will be there, but it’s just, again, in a new light and with 28 years of technology.”

“I would have done anything. Literally, I would have done anything to put the ears on and the tail on and jump around… I would have loved to have done that. But when I watched it last night one of the things I loved about it the most was that the animals really do look like animals, they’re not, you know, humanized in any way.”
