Absolute Radio: Video Interview

Michael Sheen joins Ben Jones to talk about The Twilight Saga: New Moon on Absolute Radio…

Absolute Radio: Interview

No Theatre Project

Michael has confirmed on Twitter that he will not be doing the play Inadmissable Evidence after all. A few months ago, it was mentioned that he would make his return to the West End in early 2010 in this John Osborne play.

“Not doing play now. May do something soon though.”

The Damned United on BAFTA Long List

While the Academy Awards tease us with lists of semifinalist pre-nominations in only certain categories - such as foreign film and some of the technical ones - the BAFTAs have “long lists”, as they’re called, in almost all categories. Indeed, 15 films are in the running in most of the 17 races. The final five contenders in each category will be announced January 21 with the awards fest on February 21.

The Damned United, in which Michael portrayed Brian Clough, is among the movies listed. Fingers crossed!

Michael Sheen supports Swansea Bay

Michael Sheen is throwing his weight behind Swansea Bay’s bid to become UK City of Culture in 2013. The award-winning actor is one of a number of high profile industry names supporting the title bid, which could help attract world-wide interest and millions of pounds in economic benefits to the region. “I’m very excited to be supporting this bid,” he said. We have such a wealth of cultural activity in Swansea Bay and I’m proud to support it in any way I can. It would be a real recognition of that if Swansea Bay were to be named UK City of Culture.”
